ORIGIN OF DANCE IN INDIA
"Dance in India is believed to be originated by Lord Brahma. He used pathya (words) from the Rigveda, abhinaya (gestures) from the Yajurveda, geet (music) from the Samaveda and rasa (emotions) from the Atharvaveda to form the Natyaveda. Three best-known Hindu deities, Shiva, Kali and Krishna, are typically represented dancing. Shiva's cosmic dance, tandava, Kali's dance of creation and destruction and Krishna's dance with the Gopi's, Rasa Lila have been popular in the Hindu mythology.
In the ancient times there were no halls or theaters and hence dancers used to perform in the temples. Dance was performed on regular basis before deity as a form of devotion. Even today the gods and goddesses are invoked through the religious folk dance forms from good old times."

Asalam o alaykum wr wb, The reason of the above is that today i went to a muhalla called "Ghulam muhammadabad" in my city to see rabbi ul awwal celebrations. And i saw people watching indian songs on their computers and i came to know (didn't see but heard from a friend) that some people were dancing on naats. So this led me to research the origin of dance. I am a firm believer that whatever "cool acts" coming from west and bollywood are actually related to their religion and consist of shirk. In short these acts are actually a manifestation of their religious rituals and they want Muslims to indirectly involve in their religious activities in any way possible. This is what Allah said:
"Never will the Jews be pleased with you, neither the Christians, till you follow their religion." (2:120)
And today i saw the origin of dance and it was confirmed. The hindus consider dance an ibadat. Today we are witnessing they doing dawah of their religion openly on pakistani tv channels. I heard there are many dance competition programs running on pakistani channels. Today we see dance in almost every marriage function, fun gathering etc. This is a very dangerous act especially when people practice this hideous act day and night and spending lots of hours. Many of us young people are involved in watching bollywood songs which consist of filthy dance. How can watching such a thing and practicing such a thing be justified when its origin is related with the hindu so-called god brahma. Such an abominable act will anger Allah Almighty :( may Allah Almighty give us hidayah. aameen
